Task one of
the project ‘RGB CMYK’ consisted of creating mood boards to showcase each the
two colour modes, RGB and CMYK.
This is a
mood board displaying the colour mode RGB (RGB standing for ‘red, green, blue’.
The three colours in the first colour mode) for this mood board I have selected
a number of images from magazines in the colours red, green and blue. I have
grouped the images together in their colour groups to make it clear that this
is a mood board for the colour mode RGB. All of the images I have chosen for
this mood board are images I have chosen at random from various magazines, this
means that there is a large variation within the images and other than all of
the images being within the RGB colour mode, there is no main theme running
though the mood board. While creating this mood board I researched the colour
mode RGB and found that when red, green and blue light is added together in
equal intensities, white light is created and any colour within the colour
spectrum can be created by combining the tree colours in various ways. As these
colours get brighter and eventually create white light when they are combined,
this means that they are ideal for being used within electrical equipment such
as televisions and computer screens. When used in electrical displays, the
colours red green and blue are repeated many times throughout the screen and as
each of the colours has a different intensity at different times, different
colours appear on the screen.
